The 3-phase Zinc Cream, Type W/O, as a classic care and protective cream for irritated and macerated skin
As the largest and most versatile organ of the human body, the skin performs numerous tasks. It provides protection, regulates body temperature, and can even provide information about a person's mood. To meet these and other functions, it sometimes needs support—such as the 3-phase ZCR-ZincCream on W/O basis (water in oil). Read here what this special ZincCream can achieve.
What specific tasks does the skin perform?
The skin has four major functions:
- Enable the sense of touch
- Protection against external influences
- Regulation of body temperature
- Indication of mood
As a sensory organ, the skin allows the perception of various textures, consistencies, temperatures, as well as pain and more. Thanks to the skin, humans can feel and touch things. This is possible because the skin is permeated by numerous sensors: touch, heat, and cold receptors.
In addition, lamellar corpuscles are responsible for perceiving pressure. Free nerve endings are also present, processing pain sensations.
The skin's protective function comes into play when the body is exposed to strong sunlight or other environmental toxins. It also keeps pathogens such as viruses and bacteria at bay. Various helpers, such as head hair, provide good protection against sunlight.
The skin as a temperature regulator and mirror of the soul
The skin signals to the body whether it is too warm or too cold. It does this by producing sweat or forming goosebumps. Accordingly, it triggers various processes in the organism to bring the body temperature back to the normal range.
For example, if it is too warm, blood vessels expand. This allows more stored heat to flow to the body surface and be released to the environment. If it is too cold, blood vessels contract. Body heat is then primarily directed to vital organs, with hands, feet, and the face being less prioritized.
The connection between mood and the skin is even anchored in various idioms. For example, a person 'loses their skin' when angry, or 'grows a thick skin' during stress. Of course, these expressions are not meant literally, but the skin remains the mirror of the soul.
For example, the face turns red when someone finds themselves in an uncomfortable situation. Or sweat runs over the skin when there is a threat, and a person is afraid.
What effect does the 3-phase ZincCream have on the skin?
Zinc is a trace element that contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, among other functions. It increases skin resistance and protects it from drying out. This is possible because zinc regulates the moisture and fatty acid balance of the skin.
Thus, 3-phase zinc creams can treat both dry, cracked skin areas and soothe and stabilize irritated and macerated skin areas. It supports healthy regeneration of skin cells. It can also provide relief for itching and irritations.
How does the 3-phase Zinc Cream work on macerated skin?
Macerated skin has been exposed to too much moisture for too long. This can be wound fluid, sweat, or even urine (IAD). Due to excessive contact, the skin can suffer damage. It becomes soft, wrinkled, and is more susceptible to bacterial and fungal infections, promoting the penetration of potential allergens and inflammatory substances.
A 3-phase ZincCream consists of 3 basic components: water - lipids and zinc (Zincum oxydatum). It forms a protective layer with additional care properties on the affected areas. This way, it protects the skin from contact with excess liquid, giving it time to regenerate in peace.
What is the ZCR® ZincCream?
The ZCR® ZincCream forms a protective film on the skin, stabilizing stressed and irritated areas. It also helps in the regeneration of sensitive and dry, as well as macerated skin. It can be mixed with dline® products BL®-BasicLotion, CC-CoolinCreamn, LL®-LipoLotion, and NCR-NutrientCream as needed if a higher re-fattening character is desired.
In addition to zinc, the cream utilizes vitamins A, C, and E. Vitamin A also contributes to the maintenance of normal skin, while Vitamin C is primarily dedicated to collagen balance. Collagen is a protein that gives the skin structure and elasticity.
Vitamin E makes an important contribution to protecting cells from oxidative stress, which can negatively impact skin health. This creates a comprehensive complex that protects and supports the skin.
Apply the ZCR® ZincCream daily, or as needed, several times. Massage it into the skin with circular movements and light pressure.
For the treatment of particularly dry skin, mix the ZCR® ZincCream with Vaseline. Mix one part Vaseline with five parts of ZincCream. In very pronounced cases, use one part Vaseline and three parts ZCR® ZincCream.
